More key details about the 2025 Ram 1500 REV have been revealed at this week's New York Auto Show. While Ram may be the last of Detroit's Big Three to announce its EV specs, it's coming out swinging with a targeted 500-mile range. That number could possibly grow even more when the XR model comes out with its internal-combustion range extender.

The 2025 Ram 1500 REV will be butting heads with some serious competition when it launches. The Ford F-150 Lightning is already dominating the battery-powered pickup segment, and Chevrolet is readying its Silverado EV. There's also the Rivian R1T which, while selling in smaller numbers, has already hit the road as well. We can't forget the Tesla Cybertruck, which is promised to go into production later this year as well—for real this time, probably. But if you're considering a Ram, you're probably cross-shopping the other Detroit brands. Let's see how those stack up.

Ram is naturally looking to one-up the competition with some of the most impressive numbers. The 2025 Ram 1500 REV aims to provide class-leading horsepower, plus the largest battery pack and range available in an electric truck. There's also the highest payload in its class, plus the highest trailering capacity (as long as you don't count Chevrolet's Max Tow package, which seems like a long way off).

Certain details still haven't been announced like the Ram 1500 REV's price, dimensions, and earth-shattering weight thanks to its enormous 229-kWh battery pack. It's likely those figures will come closer to the truck's launch in 2024, though when exactly that will be is undecided. Until now, truck fans can sit tight knowing they will have a plethora of battery-powered pickups to choose from when the time comes.
