Today on Drive Wire, news emerged that the United Kingdom is set to host Europe's first autonomous vehicle track day this fall. It's not the first self-driving car track day globally; the U.S. snagged that honor earlier this summer with an event at Thunderhill Raceway in California, but it's a giant step forward for the Europe and the U.K., the latter of which has been slow to allow autonomous cars in public roads. Brands expected to participate in the day include Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo and Nissan. Later in the fall, similar days will be held in France and Austria.
