I’m always on the hunt for the best EDC deals on knives, tools, and other gear. But for today, and I hate to bring this up, I’m looking at stuff that will make great gifts. Yeah. It’s getting to be that time of year when we all need to think about starting to spend money on others instead of ourselves. What? I already apologized. You can buy any of this for yourself, or even two of everything so one for you, one for them.
I’m starting off with the Gerber Gear Jukebox for $39.95 that’s normally 50 bucks. This is a great-looking pocket knife that anyone would love to get as a gift. Me included. I also included the Quadrant. It’s another knife that I’m just going to have to buy myself since my wife hasn’t gotten the hint. This one is $32.78 and again, is also normally right around 50 bucks.
If you want an organizer to throw inside your EDC bag to keep a field notes pad, a small knife and something to write with all in one place, there’s this EDC waxed canvas zippered bag from Hide & Drink, which come on! If that isn’t the best name for a company making EDC stuff, I don’t know what is. It’s on sale for $22.99, so it’s a pretty cheap gift for someone else who will appreciate the name.
I’ve got a couple of pens and flashlights down there too. As a professional journalist, I almost always have a journal with me—you never thought about where that name came from before, did you? There’s also a pair of Oakleys at the bottom. I’ve been wearing Oakleys since I was a kid, and I keep trying other brands, and even in the post-Jim J days, I always go back to the big O.
