The Texas-based oil giant have been Porsche's technical partners in road and race car development for two decades. On the anniversary of their partnership, the two companies extended the pairing an additional five years, through 2021. Over the course of that 20 years together, there have been over one million road-going Porsche cars sold with their engines full of Mobil 1. Porsche helps ExxonMobil develop their oils, and ExxonMobil helps Porsche develop their engines, in both cases to continue advancements in power creation and maximum efficiency. This kind of consistent partnership is key to Porsche's advancing in the marketplace, as it allows them to focus on other things more important than negotiating lubricant partnerships.

Having close partnerships with technical suppliers like this one have helped Porsche to win world championships, that's just a fact. ExxonMobil helps support Porsche's motorsport programs from the lowest Cayman GT4 Clubsport competing in regional club racing to the highest 919 Hybrid LMP1 winning at Le Mans. The lubricant company also holds title sponsorship rights to the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup racing series.

Dr. Michael Steiner, Porsche's Member of the Executive Board for R&D:

ExxonMobil is one of our closest and most important cooperation partners, not only in motorsport but also in the development of our production engines, which are filled at the factory with the high-performance lubricant Mobil 1. Over the last 20 years, ExxonMobil has contributed significantly to the good performance of our racing vehicles. We look forward to continuing this successful and trusted partnership.

Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Head of Porsche Motorsport:

Reliable partners such as ExxonMobil provide fantastic support and offer a high degree of planning certainty. Together, we have celebrated unforgettable moments securing victories at long distance classics such as Le Mans and Daytona and winning titles in the most important motor racing championships around the world.
