Patrick George is the former Editorial Director over Recurrent Ventures’ automotive and military publications, departing in 2022. He oversaw The Drive, Car Bibles, The War Zone and Task & Purpose. Previously Editor-in-Chief of the car website Jalopnik, he’s a longtime reporter and editor and a lifelong car enthusiast and amateur mechanic. He’s based in upstate New York.

Patrick is a veteran of print and digital media, including time spent as a Metro Desk reporter at the Austin American-Statesman and Editor-in-Chief of Jalopnik. His work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal and many other publications.

When he’s not working, Patrick loves reading new fiction, geeking out over music and retro video games. He’s also gotten into DIY house repair, but he is very bad at it.
