Drive Wire for November 7, 2016: Ford Says 2017 F-150 Raptor Orders Are Coming In Fast
The truck is also proving exceedingly popular on Ford’s website.

Hey there. Will Sabel Courtney here for Drive Wire on November 7th, 2016.
Today on Drive Wire: The trucks are still weeks away from showrooms, but Ford has already begun taking order for the 2017 F-150 Raptor—and the carmaker says waiting lists for the truck are growing fast.
Texas, Florida, and California are the largest markets for initial orders so far, Ford says.
Online interest in the truck is also reportedly high. Traffic on the F-150 Raptor section of Ford’s website is running at five times the levels of the pages for any of Ford’s other performance vehicles, with more than 90,000 hits on the Raptor’s configurator in the first 10 days it was online.
In case you’ve forgotten, the new F-150 Raptor is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 making 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, sent to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission.
That’s it for Drive Wire on November 7th, 2016. I’m Will Sabel Courtney; thanks for watching, and please check out The Drive for more on the big stories from the transportation world.
