The 5 Weirdest Motorized Pieces of Furniture, in Honor of Melissa McCarthy’s Sean Spicer Podium
The comedienne may have a podium, but David Goldberg has a toilet plow.

Here in this wonderful world of useless inventions, we have had the privilege of seeing just about every household piece of furniture turn into a motorized means of transportation. Just this morning, actress Melissa McCarthy took the the streets of Manhattan driving a motorized podium to promote her sixth time hosting Saturday Night Live. Melissa has taken on the role of Donald Trump's press secretary Sean Spicer repeatedly over the past four months, and we have to admit, it is pretty hilarious. Holding character, McCarthy navigated traffic with the same sense of frustration we can see on Spicer during certain press briefings at the White House.
SNL and McCarthy aren't alone when it comes to unique motorized pieces of furniture, though. Weekend tinkerers have attached motors and wheels to everything from couches to toilets. Fortunately, most builders documented their projects as they built them—or at least captured the end result for all of us to enjoy.
So in honor of Ms. McCarthy, below you will find five of the weirdest motorized vehicles. (That said, if you have any additions you'd like to see on this list, please share your videos in the comments below.)
