We all have to wear clothes; it’s apparently a law, or a strongly enforced rule. I don’t know I’m not a lawyer. Anyway, if you want the world to know you’re a car enthusiast, you need to find the kinds of shirts, jackets, and hats that show everyone exactly what you’re into. I’ve found some great deals on clothes for car enthusiasts that make it more affordable to support the car brands and racing you love. I’ve also included some stuff that isn’t on sale, but if you’re a fan, it’s still worth every penny. Oh, all of this stuff will make great gifts if you’re shopping for a car fan, by the way.
I know some of you have mixed feelings on Formula 1. As a fan of automotive engineering, I love the cars. Every team on the grid has its own merch, but I found some mostly tasteful, and not obscenely priced jackets. The Mercedes AMG 2024 Team Bomber is only $138.00, which is less than you’ll pay for lunch at a race. It’s a $230 jacket off the team’s website.
There’s a couple of T-shirts, the Wolfsburg shirt, which is a VW shirt without being an actual VW shirt is on sale for $17.99. People in the know will get the VW reference, everyone else will just think you’re well-traveled and went to a less touristy city in Germany to get some great currywurst. There’s also a Peugeot Livery shirt for fans of the golden age of rally. Again, real fans will know, other people will probably think you’re a hipster wearing some weird French-car shirt.
I’ve been to the Nurburgring more times than I can remember. I used to go several times a year and every time I came home with more souvenirs. Yet, I still wish I had bought more stuff—why didn’t I buy the toaster that burned the track map onto your bread? Everyone in my family has jackets and ball caps; I even have a scarf. What I don’t have is a beanie like this one that’s only 15 bucks.
