Bentley Opens First Showroom in Georgia

Bentley announced its first dealership in the country of Georgia last week, as it shows new interest in the eastern European market.

The first Bentley showroom will be located in Tbilisi, Georgia's capital, and largest city. While it's the only dealer the luxury brand has planned for the region, Bentley Tbilisi will offer the full model lineup, including the new Continental GT, Flying Spur, Bentayga, and Mulsanne.

Bentley has opted for a mix of traditional Georgian architecture and modern design for the Tbilisi location, and thus the showroom will blend in with other buildings in the city but look quite luxurious on the inside; it certainly fits in with Bentley's car design philosophy. Along with the cars, the dealership will feature a customization area where patrons can mix and match the exterior and interior colors.

The new dealership is made possible thanks to a partnership with Omega Group, a technology distribution company responsible for most of Georgia's automotive imports. We're not entirely sure what eastern Europe's luxury car market is like, but Bentley says there's demand for its cars. “There is a high level of interest in Bentley across Georgia, and with the Omega Group we have a strong commercial partner who has been operating in that market for more than 20 years," said Robert Engstler, Bentley's regional director for Europe.

If what Bentley says is true, this new retailer will hopefully kickstart a renewed interest in the region for other luxury brands, which is great news for European car fans.
