As you might guess, I’m more of a racing fan than a sportsballer. But, that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy a good tailgate. As a matter of fact, the biggest parties I’ve ever been to rage for days at 24-hour endurance races. I’ve seen some stuff, man. I know what you need for a good grill-out in the parking lot of any sporting event, whether it’s NCAA, NFL, or AYSO. I’ve found awesome deals on tailgating essentials to make sure you’ve got BxBQ, music, and maybe a beverage or two.
Let’s face it. You can’t call it tailgating without a grill. We all want a Santa Maria-style grill that’s built on a trailer, but those aren’t always practical. You can still grill up plenty of brats or burgers on something like this PIT BOSS table top wood grill for $224.99. It has digital temperature control and works as a smoker. If you want a little more straightforward propane grill, you can go for a Coleman RoadTrip portable stand-up grill for $254.99.
The burgers and dogs might be hot, but you need to keep Aunt Bertie’s famous slaw and your artisanal crudités boards nice and cold. A BougeRV 12-volt car refrigerator for $299.99 will do the trick. For entertainment, I would recommend a combination of two items. You need a Cornhole tailgate/regulation size boards with 8 bean bags and carrying case for $89.99 and to make it tolerable, a Jerry Can whiskey bar set for $93.39. Enjoy the big folks and remember, choose a designated driver and treat them well.
