Emphasis on “doors.”

Last week, we reported Lynk & Co's plans to sell their futuristic, Volvo-based 01 crossover via subscription. The luxury arm of Chinese automaker Geely is making news again today—interestingly, not of its own doing, but instead due to one of its photographers. Fredrik Etoall of Adamsky Management posted a slew of photos apparently commissioned by Lynk & Co of a striking, butterfly-and-suicide-doored sedan concept. As a design, I think it looks great. With all four doors up, it looks like a Michael Bay-era Decepticon, mid-transformation, sinister and ready to punch some Autobots in the face.

Judging from some of the more outlandish details, like light-up door panels, stylized panoramic sunroof, super-thin wing mirrors, and a purple (!) driver's seat, it's unlikely that this is a final, production-ready model that you'll be able to buy—or subscribe to, I should say—in the future. But if this is a hint at what a Lynk & Co "02" sedan would look like, bring it on.

If a Lynk & Co sedan does come to fruition, expect it to be based on some variation of Volvo's Compact Modular Architecture, as with the 01 crossover.

The full set of pictures can be found here, and the details are definitely worth a gander.
