Harley-Davidson Museum Offering Free Admission to Vets and Active Military This Weekend
One of America’s most iconic brands is showing its appreciation for our troops on Veteran’s Day.
Harley-Davidson is doing a little something to give back to veterans and active military members. It’s easy to see that Harley is a brand that’s big on freedom and it’s showing its gratitude for that freedom by offering free admission to the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from now through Sunday to celebrate Veteran’s Day which is Saturday, Nov. 11.
“As the calendar flips to November, many of us begin to give thanks. It’s no different at the Harley-Davidson Museum when we look to show our appreciation for all American veterans—living or dead,” said Harley-Davidson in an email. “Harley-Davidson’s ties to the men and women who have honorably served in the U.S. military are unparalleled. Veterans Day always has a special significance at the H-D Museum as we try to show our gratitude for their sacrifice.”
Not only do vets get in the door free, they can each bring another adult and four children all free of charge. That means a military family of six can enjoy the stunning Harley-Davidson museum without paying a cent.
Harley-Davidson has a rich military history going all the way back to World War I. The first American to enter Germany during WWI did so on the saddle of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. A presenter will be giving Military Gallery Talks to get into the details of Harley’s involvement with the U.S. military over the years. These talks will take place at the museum at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
As per usual, a valid military or veteran ID will get you a discount at the MOTOR Bar and Restaurant and at the shop where you can buy all the Harley-Davidson swag you can imagine.
