Hero of the Day: Cock of the Walk

This guy, who’s letting his cock hang out at Pebble Beach. That’d be a René Lalique glass cock, one of his prized animal-styled Bouchons De Radiateur. (Read: “radiator cap”). They’re a big deal in the collector world; a few years back, an old fox ornament fetched over $200,000 at auction. Lalique, a French glassmaker, only produced hood mascots for a few years before loosing his mojo during the Great Depression. Luckily, this guy was able to get his hands on Lalique’s cock and put it on display for everybody at the Concours to enjoy. Hero.
