On today’s installment of Drive Wire, The Drive dissects the Consumer Reports demand that Tesla fundamentally change its Autopilot feature, asking the automaker to rename the system to be less misleading—CR contends the name suggests fully-autonomous capability—rejigger the self-steering system to include shorter intervals without the driver’s hands on the wheel, and immediately cease Beta testing until the feature is deemed fully safe.
