The fish hatchery welcomes visitors year-round during daylight hours. It has also added Coho and Chinook rearing to its repertoire in order to help those populations regain some ground. The hatchery hosts the Salmon Homecoming event every October, which is a fun festival that welcomes the return of the salmon to Clarks Creek.

Washington State Fair

Held annually for a period of 21 days that includes Labor Day Weekend, the Washington State Fair is Puyallup’s, and also Washington’s, biggest event. It consistently ranks as one of the top ten largest fairs in the United States. It includes agricultural and pastoral displays and competitions that are spread out over a massive 160 acres of fairgrounds.

A huge concert series that welcomes national and international recording artists runs the duration of the fair. There is also a very impressive midway with lots of amusement rides and games.
