Power tools are a big investment. You may not think much about it at the time, spending a couple hundred here, a few hundred there, but at some point you open up your tool cabinet and realize you’re staring at thousands of dollars tools. It might help you sleep better at night, knowing that many of those tools were bought on days like Cyber Monday when you got the best deal possible.

I’ve been using tools both professionally and as a hobby for decades. I have been testing and writing about tools for years, but only recently have I discovered Ryobi. Everything I’ve tested has impressed me with its build quality, ease of use, and value. Ryobi products are usually priced under other top brands, sometimes by a considerable margin. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, they are a huge value. I even took advantage of a sale on batteries that was too good to pass up.

USB Lithium 3/8 in. Ratchet Kit with 2.0 Ah Battery

See It

When I reviewed this small ratchet, I was a little put off at first. It’s considerably smaller than almost all of its competitors. The battery is tiny, and it doesn’t promise much in the way of torque. After using it for a couple of weeks, not only did I find it to be incredibly useful around the house, but surprisingly I found myself reaching for it in the garage too. It seems like half the bolts on modern cars are either threaded into plastic or sheet metal tabs, so something like this is ideal for not chewing up those threads. It’s also great because it weighs less half of bigger ratchets and the small size easily gets under the dash and inside wheel wells.
