Hey there. Will Sabel Courtney here for Drive Wire on October 17th, 2016.

Today on Drive Wire: A new report suggests Apple has ditched its plans to build its own car for the time being, instead choosing to concentrate on developing technology for self-driving vehicles.

According to Bloomberg, the Apple project known as Project Titan has been significantly ramped down, with hundreds of employees connected to the project being reassigned or leaving the company over the last few months.

The change in strategy reportedly is a result of conflict over strategy and supply chain issues. Management and leadership problems were an issue with the project, according to Bloomberg.

For now, Apple will reportedly focus on developing a self-driving platform that could be used either by other automotive companies or by Apple itself, should the company decide in the future to build its own car after all. attached
