Spy shots of the new Jeep Compass/Patriot replacement show strong design cues from the Grand Cherokee. As seen in these spy shots, the grill and headlights shares styling with the larger Jeep, while the roof’s black coloration brings to mind into the modern design of European crossovers. The new crossover is expected to use a modified version of the Renegade platform, and will likely be powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
Although Saleen has suffered some financial trouble in recent years , the company says it will be producing seven limited-edition S7s called the Saleen S7 LM to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the company's winning streak at Le Mans. The new S7 will be powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 good for a whopping 1,000 horsepower.
The world’s fastest Volkswagen Beetle hit 205 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats earlier this month. Of course, it was hardly stock; the special Bug cranked out more than 500 horsepower, and came equipped with parachutes for stopping duty.
