We've officially got a new King 'Vette. Fresh of its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the [2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1](<https://www.thedrive.com/new-cars/16003/here-is-your-first-look-at-the-2019-chevrolet-corvette-zr1>) boasts 755 horsepower, a 210 mph top speed, and more aero than you can shake a stick at. But all that excellence presents a problem for General Motors amid shrinking sales: How to keep buyers interested until then? Killer deals help, but Chevy might want to consider making the post-purchase dealership burnout an official part of the ownership experience.

With overall U.S. sales in 2017 running 10 percent down from last year, Chevrolet has been aggressively marking down new C7 Corvettes to sell off inventory by the end of the year. In November, [we reported it was possible](<https://www.thedrive.com/article/16268/the-corvette-z06-gets-a-9000-discount-as-sales-decline>) to get more than $9,000 off the $79,495 sticker price of a brand new Corvette Z06, with even better deals to be had on 2016 models in the slightly used market. That's a pretty great deal for a car that can lap the Nurburgring [in a supercar-slaying 7:13.90.](<https://www.thedrive.com/watch-this/12464/watch-a-stick-shift-chevrolet-corvette-z06-lap-the-nurburgring-in-713-9>)

And don't forget, you can always take those savings and bring them to Callaway to transform your new Z06 [into fun-yet-practical AeroWagen.](<https://www.thedrive.com/new-cars/11814/callaway-corvette-aerowagen-brings-757-horses-of-wtf-to-brooklyn>) It's understandable to want to wait for the ZR1, but the Z06 is no slouch, and it appears the buyer [in this video](<https://www.facebook.com/hightechcorvette/videos/1947419435298348/>) was happy to take Chevrolet's bait and join the club. We see him in his new purchase, waiting at the end of the dealership's driveway for traffic on a frontage road to clear. Once it does, he launches the black 'Vette into a sweet little controlled drift, backing off just enough to straighten things out before punching the throttle and letting the exhaust sing as he heads out into the world as a newly-minted Corvette owner.

The caption of the video is "This is how you leave the dealership in your brand new C7 Z06," and we have to agree: This is indeed how it's done.
