Watch a Dodge Viper Eat It Leaving Cars and Coffee

It was a bad day for one Houston Viper owner.

With its 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque going to the rear wheels, the Dodge Viper was never a machine one could carelessly tool around in. However, it looks like one owner didn't get the memo (or more likely, momentarily forgot about it).

Caught on video is a late model of Dodge's serpentine sports car making its way out of—where else—a Cars and Coffee meet in Houston, Texas. It's an old, predictable tale at this point, but it's worth repeating. Man leaves Cars and Coffee. Man sees crowd. Man tries to go fast. Car spins around. Car meets curb. Phones come out.

Is it really a Cars and Coffee event if there isn't a viral video-inducing incident at the end of it? In any case, it's safe to say this Houston Viper owner did not have a very good day.

Discontinued earlier this year, the Viper boasted a top speed of 208 mph and was powered by a big, stonking 8.4-liter V-10. With the engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, it died as an old-school hero in a world of turbochargers, dual clutches, and all-wheel drive. While 60 mph is dealt with in 3.5 seconds, its limited driver-coddling means that a place on a flatbed and internet infamy can be had just as quickly, apparently.
