The Alfa Romeo Guilia Quadrifoglio is a brilliant Italian stunner capable of taking on anything the Germans are slinging these days - when it works. It's been a tempestuous two years since the car's oft-delayed launch, with troublesome reports of reliability issues plaguing the sport sedan from the get go. And that's a real shame, because as this video featuring Scuderia Ferrari F1 drivers Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen shows, the Giulia has enough fire to melt even the coldest of hearts.

Thanks to the magic of corporate synergy, Alfa Romeo was able to wrangle up Vettel and the Ice Man (plus third driver Antonio Giovinazzi) and set them loose on a test track at their proving grounds in Balocco, Italy with a couple of Guilia Quadrifoglios. Raikkonen is famous for his reserved mannerisms—even a podium finish in an F1 race doesn't warrant a smile—and while the video is loosely posed as some sort of drifty race, it's clear the main objective is to have fun and show off Alfa's 505 horsepower BMW M3-fighter.

Watching three Quadrifoglios tear around the track is certainly an effective advertisement, but nothing communicates the car's visceral dynamics better than the Ice Man breaking into a brief grin near the end of the session, clearly taken with the little Alfa. We certainly don't blame him for letting his emotions get the best of him—as the ad's copy notes, they always win in the end. If only that translated to sales.
