Ever since the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS debuted at E3, Porsche fans and enthusiasts alike have been littering the forums with rumors. Porsche quelled most of these speculations at Goodwood weeks later, revealing that the new track car actually makes 700 horsepower, rocketing the 911 from 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds and to a top speed of 211 mph. Porsche is calling it "the fastest and most powerful street-legal 911 model ever;" the final (optional) hurdle for the GT2 RS is to conquer the Nurburgring. Can Porsche's most insane 911 defeat the likes of the Huracan Performante and become king of the 'Ring?

Nurburgring car-spotting channel Supercarsfromeu caught the $293,000 911 GT2 RS hot-lapping the Nordschleife circuit last week, well before the car releases early next year. We're treated to not one but two of the pre-production cars ripping around the graffiti-speckled track, including a yellow GT2 RS equipped with the $31,000 Weissach package. We also get a sneak peek of the GT2 RS' addicting exhaust note, thanks in part to its turbocharged 3.8-liter engine sourced from the 911 Turbo S

Porsche hasn't announced any lap times yet, but we're confident that even the 'Ring-conquering Huracan Performante is sweating right now.
