The Range Rover Sport SVR has always been good at a lot of things—most importantly, sounding amazing. The Range Rover Sport SVR sounds similar to a pack a wild lions roaring in a tunnel while the kittens are throwing firecrackers (y'know, because we know what that sounds like).

In a new spy video of the refreshed 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR running around the Nurburgring, we can see–and more importantly hear—the updated SVR go full throttle before approaching a right-hander. The updated intakes in the front bumper may hint at a new engine configuration, possibly the 575-horsepower 5.0-liter supercharged V8 found in the 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR.

Beyond minor cosmetic modifications, we can't confirm the Range Rover Sport SVR will be getting engine upgrades....but with the 575-hp 5.0-liter supercharged V8 already in production, we can't see why JLR wouldn't toss it in the already monstrous SUV. But whatever the case may be, the Range Rover Sport SVR may have lost its place on the throne for fastest SUV, now that FCA has created the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
