The Trucks of Caffeine & Octane
Come one, come all! Come crawl the mall!
America's largest monthly automotive gathering, Caffeine & Octane, tends to bring out the best of the best. As holds true with most monthly shows, Caffeine & Octane brings out virtually every type of vehicle ranging from Aventadors arriving on flatbeds to rat rods barely putting their way into the parking lot. If you're a truck guy, the show provides plenty to feast your eyes upon and April 2017's edition was no slouch.
Second-generation C-10s are always fairly easy to locate. Their condition and status vary considerably and it's nice to see the diversity.
The off-road crowd has been showing up a lot more to the show recently and we think everyone at least has to appreciate
Within the heavily-gated show vehicle area lies quite a few high-dollar rides. This brand-spankin'-new F350 is certainly no exception. It was in attendance to remind us all that the construction industry is back, baby!
It's always refreshing to see a properly restored FJ40 and there were a handful of respectable examples in attendance.
Sometimes, a perfect patina can be more attractive than any fancy paint job. Without question, this old Chevy garnered much respect from showgoers off all walks of life.
The serious Overland vehicles may get some curious stares from the traditional attendees but that doesn't stop folks like Thomas Caldwell from showing off his ride.
This Power Wagon should be quite familiar has we covered it in detail late last year. Under the vintage exterior, this truck features a 2015 RAM 3500 dually chassis, powertrain and interior!
There's always a handful of "tweeners" in attendance. These trucks look as though they encompass a bit of the BRO-TRUCK vibe but still have the capability to go off-road it's an absolute necessity.
