Honda may be the top players in the hydrogen game today. They've been involved with CNG technology since 1998, building their reputation with notable innovations in 2000 as well as 2008. Their recent introduction of the current generation Clarity Fuel Cell launches them to the front of the pack once again, showing the brand's dedication to the project.

The manufacturer sees hydrogen as a worthwhile market. Although they put in work with electric vehicles as well, Honda sees the potential in alternative fueling as it offers similar range as gasoline powered cars while emitting only water through the tailpipe. Their Clarity model is at the forefront of its segment, setting the pace for the Toyota Mirai and Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell.

This video gives a brief timeline on the company's history, showing their roots and purpose behind their Fuel Cell Program. With hydrogen-fueled cars gaining traction, even in a growing world of EVs, they plan to continue on with the project to give customers a viable alternative.
