The lowest price-tag for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will begin at $26,195, according to documents posted on JL Wrangler Forums, which suggests an overall price hike for new Wranglers of as much as $3,000.

Forum user DrPerez007 on Monday posted papers said to have been sent by Fiat Chrysler to its representatives at the Los Angeles Auto Show, which offer pricing and other details for the two-door Sport, the Wrangler's low-rent edition.

According to the documents, the 2.0-liter turbo with an eight-speed automatic will fetch a $2,000 premium, while the 3.6 Pentastar V6 with an eight-speed will be a $3,500 option.

If the prices pan out, they would appease concerns of greater hikes that came with a recent spy shot of a window sticker from a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL that priced it at $45,000

Fiat Chrysler is not shedding any light on the issue, at least for now.

"We haven't released pricing information for the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler," said Todd Goyer, head of Jeep Brand Communication at Fiat Chrysler, declining further comment.
