It’s understandable if you’re never heard of Firas Abu-Jaber, but if you have any interest at all in car replicas made of plastic bricks, you should seriously check out his work. He’s a Lego car builder whose work ranges from supercars like the Lamborghini Aventador SV to off-beat classics like the International Harvester Metro Van.

According to Lego enthusiast website The Brothers Brick, Abu-Jaber's most recent creation is a Lego version of what he says is his favorite car: the Nissan GT-R Nismo.

Thanks to Abu-Jaber’s attention to detail, this model is immediately recognizable as a Nissan GT-R. He got everyone’s favorite exterior detail of the GT-R just right: the tail lights. He used round red Technic pieces with smaller see-through circles placed inside to create the signature of the back of the car. Every other detail from the front grille to the rear wing looks exactly how it should in Lego form.

It would be one thing to just build an accurate exterior, but the hood, trunk, and doors all open up on this model. Opening the doors reveals a slick red and black interior complete with steering wheel, gauges, and shifter. Open the hood and you’ll find a model of the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 that powers the real thing.

Now, if only Lego would sell us a Nissan GT-R Nismo kit this cool, we'd be all set.
