Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve

Portland Rose Festival 

For over 100 years, the Portland Rose Festival has celebrated summertime in Portland. There are countless events that take place throughout the season, including three parades. The one not to miss is the Grand Floral Parade, though.

It’s the crown centerpiece of the entire program. For four miles that wind through the city streets, parade floats, equestrian units, marching bands, dancers, vintage cars, llamas, flag twirlers, all come together to celebrate both contemporary times and the nostalgia of the event. 

Other activities include concerts, races, runs, walks, royalty coronation, auction, rose show, and milk carton boat race. You can pick and choose the events you’re interested in or plan to stay for awhile and see it all. 

Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm 

Have you ever seen an endless field of tulips in bloom? The rainbow of vibrant colors is breathtaking. The Wooden Shoe Tulip farm hosts a Tulip Fest each year in the spring. 

There are charity runs to participate in, live music to enjoy, and rows of tulips to skip through. Bring your pup and take advantage of photoshoot day for an extra special portrait. Or come to see the hot air balloons for a truly breathtaking experience. 

This month-long event gives you plenty of opportunities to work a visit into your travel schedule. Keep in mind, though, you’ll need to buy tickets in advance. Travel to the farm in your camper might also be a challenge on the one-lane dirt roads, so plan to park nearby and get a ride to the event. 

Oregon Brewers Festival 

For more than 30 years, brewers in Oregon have come together for the Annual Oregon Brewers Festival. This annual event happens along the waterfront in downtown Portland. This is one of the largest craft beer festivals in the country. 

More than 100 different breweries participate, and the festival makes it easy for enthusiasts to find what interests them. Port Orford RV Village: Port Orford
