Installing A Porsche Classic SatNav Radio
This 993 was treated to a new Porsche Classic Radio with navigation, and the step-by-step instructions couldn’t be easier!

Porsche's 993 and 964 are rapidly growing in value and collectibility, making modifications less worthwhile as time goes on. Sure, you still want to make the car your own, and improve the functionality of it, but you also don't want to make any changes that are irreversable. This modification, made possible by Porsche Classic, is 100% reversible, and 100% fits the look of the car when done right. With this Porsche Classic radio, you can add satellite navigation, bluetooth, and quality digital audio to your vintage aircooled, while increasing its value. This radio was designed to look as though it could have been stock in the 1990s, and it plugs in directly with the factory wire harness.
In this video, Vu Nguyen of the Porsche Club of America talks you through the steps of the relatively easy installation. The 993 in this video is owned by a lucky PCA member that won the radio and installation in a drawing, This is a job that should take a normal do-it-yourselfer about two hours from start to finish working on their own car with rudimentary tools. The great part about this kit is that it even includes the radio removal tools that you would need to get your old radio out of the dashboard (though certain radios will require a different set of keys not included in the kit). From the video, this installation appears to be quite easy. If you have any questions, you may want to contact your nearest Porsche Classic partner to discuss your personal needs.
