[The 908 LangHeck has always been a favorite Porsche of mine](<https://flatsixes.com/porsche-motorsports/vintage-racing/an-in-depth-analysis-of-the-porsche-908lhs-suspension-activated-ailerons/>). It is possibly the nerdiest Porsche to really take a good look at. It was an influential design in the transition from street-legal racers like the 904 and 906 Carrera 6 to the all-conquering 917s. As a prototype, this is probably the car that served as the biggest influencer in Porsche's racing history. I get really excited when I see 908s, and it doesn't hurt that the 908's flat-eight engine is one of the most sonorous and aurally pleasing engines ever built.
