The render caught the eye of [Xenex Motorsports](), who then decided to create this MX Speedster kit, which debuted at the Amelia Island *Cars & Caffeine* and is almost ready to buy. This MX Speedster kit is a lightweight body kit that replaces the front fenders, the front bumper, the rear bumper, the trunk lid, rear fenders, the rear tonneau cover, and removes the windshield. It's inspired by classic speedsters, such as the 1954 Porsche 356 Speedster, so instead of a proper windshield it just gets a small one for the driver. Even with it, both front passengers should wear helmets, or at the very least sunglasses, lest they fill their faces with dead bugs. According to Xenex Motorsports, the MX Speedster drops 250 pounds from the stock NA Miata's curb weight, while also improving its aerodynamics. Optional extras include 17 inch wheels, Wilwood brakes, and a "track-ready suspension." https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpa4iSQITl8/?hl=en With just around 1,860 pounds to throw around, the MX Speedster's stock 1.6-liter four-cylinder [Mazda ]()engine, with all 116 of its horses, is plenty. However, if you want to make that power-to-weight ratio a bit spicier, Xenex Motorsports has two options for you. The MX Speedster S gets a supercharger kit from Fastforward Superchargers, which brings it up to about 200 horsepower. If you really want to get wild, Xenex also offers an MX Speedster RS kit, which is the same as the other two except it ditches the Miata engine for a 350 horsepower LS-V8. Regardless of which model you want, you're going to have to wait just a bit longer. Xenex Motorsports is currently finalizing the MX Speedster, using four test mules on track with pro drivers. Xenex doesn't have any pricing listed but it says that it will start taking orders in April, 2023. *Got tips?
