Tractors aren't known for their speed or agility, even if Jeremy Clarkson often boasts about his Lamborghini tractor on his hit TV show, *Clarkson's Farm.* That said, the Valtra T Series tractor featured in this video recently took on the famous Red Bull Ring in Austria, one of the fastest tracks on the Formula 1 calendar.

The sixth-generation [Valtra](<https://www.valtra.com/int/en/products/tractors/t-series.html>) T Series is powered by an AGCO Power CORE75 engine, a 7.5-liter, six-cylinder mill that produces about 245 horsepower. It puts that power down through massive rear wheels wrapped in Nokian tires, a brand commonly known for its hardcore Hakkapeliitta winter tires for Arctic expedition vehicles. In this case, however, the application was wildly different.

The [YouTube](<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK62Dj9VwR8>) video's caption claims it set a tractor lap record around the Ring, but again, no other tractor lap records appear to exist, so it's the only one so far. Still a record, I suppose. It also hit a top speed of 87 km/h down the main straight, roughly 54 mph. That's pretty speedy for something that usually chugs along at 20 mph on a cornfield.

Not entirely sure what the purpose of this stunt was, but honestly, who cares? It's a seriously cool-looking tractor lapping one of the coolest tracks in the world. That's good enough for me.
