A jump starter is a great thing to have. Honestly, it's not a bad idea to have a backup, too. In my house, the "backup" usually becomes the one I end up counting on because it seems like somebody's always borrowing mine. Come to think of it, they'd make good gifts for the same reason. A discount on these always catches my eye, and NOCO, one of [our favorite jump starter brands](<https://www.thedrive.com/reviews/27487/best-jump-starters>), is running some good deals on Amazon Prime Days this year. Check them out here.

This is the model most people go for; the GB40 has enough juice to start a 6.0-liter gas engine or a 3.0-liter diesel engine.

The GBX45 has a little more juice and some neat features like temperature warning lights, making it a great value while it's on sale.

The top of the range is the GBX155, which has a staggering 4250A of power. It can jump-start a 10-liter gasoline engine and charge phones, laptops, and more with 60-watt USB-C power. It's a jump starter and a portable power bank. It's not cheap, but you can save about $70 if you buy it through this link while Amazon Prime Days are going on.
