# Massimo, Maker of Tiny Jeeps, Is Doing a 125cc Gas Mini Truck Now

Nothing delivers fun out of proportion to its size like a go-kart. Whether on a [track](<https://www.thedrive.com/news/toyotas-new-gas-go-kart-costs-2500-fits-in-a-minivan-and-proves-fun-isnt-dead.md>) or a [trail](<https://www.thedrive.com/news/i-finally-got-my-middle-school-dream-car-a-two-seat-go-kart.md>), they can do the things full-size cars and trucks can do, but at a more approachable scale. What could be more fun than that? Well, how about a go-kart-sized ride that looks like a mini pickup truck?

Massimo, which already sells a miniature [Jeep](<https://www.thedrive.com/category/jeep-news>), now has a version styled to look like a shrunken truck for just under $2,700. Available through [Tractor Supply Co.](<https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/massimo-mini-truck-6135373?crmid=9511264299&utm_source=partnerize&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=tsc0_tsc_tsc_prm_prs_na_us_cvr&utm_content=cus_na&clickId=5608700221&affiliate_id=21181>), it looks a bit like a cross between a vintage [Land Rover](<https://www.thedrive.com/category/land-rover-news>) Defender and a 1960s [Ford](<https://www.thedrive.com/category/ford-news>) pickup. Or like something an AI image generator would spit out when asked to depict an old truck.

Designed for riders 16 and up, it seats two. But considering its compact dimensions (76 inches long, 40.5 inches wide, and 41.5 inches tall) and 300-pound weight capacity, that will only really work with two very slender teenagers. And like other go-karts with [miniature car or truck bodies](<https://www.thedrive.com/news/be-ironman-ivan-stewart-every-day-in-this-incredible-trophy-truck-go-kart.md>), anyone who rides it will look like Bowser in Mario Kart.

A 125cc single-cylinder gasoline engine powers the truck. The air-cooled four-stroke makes nine horsepower, which is enough to get the 349-pound truck up to 28 mph, according to Massimo. With its 50-inch wheelbase, the truck has 3.5 inches of ground clearance. It has coilover suspension front and rear with 18-inch tires, but is rear-drive only, with power fed to the back axle via a three-speed transmission with reverse. Electric start, hydraulic brakes, and LED headlights provide an added layer of convenience.

While there are plenty of miniature vehicles that [can do real work](<https://www.thedrive.com/news/these-one-cylinder-diesel-farm-trucks-only-need-18-hp-or-less-to-do-real-work.md>), the Massimo mini truck seems aimed more at fun. It can't really haul anything, after all, but it could be a great way to get around a large property. It's got a lot of the features of a larger ATV, but looks a lot cuter.
