He's made an incredible recovery, though, and now he's ready to share one of his passions that you may not be aware of: [restoring]() old cars with a purpose. The actor's work, done alongside a team of mechanics and fabricators he knows well, will premiere as a four-part series on Disney+ called *Rennervations* on April 12. The show will mostly focus on large [commercial vehicles]() like buses, as Renner is focused on transforming vehicles into something useful as opposed to just restoring them. Renner says that rebuilding these vehicles to serve local communities is "one of my biggest passions and it’s a driving force in my recovery." https://youtu.be/FifQJSqIGv0 As such, all of the projects he and his team undertakes are meant to serve people. These include a Music Bus, a Water Treatment Center, a Dance Studio, and a Recreation Center, all based on buses and heavy [trucks](). These projects are all done on-site as well, in a variety of locales with celebrity guests to guide the project along. The mobile water treatment facility, for example, is done in India along with Anil Kapoor who was Renner's co-star in *[Mission: Impossible]() — Ghost Protocol*. Other locations in the series include Reno, Nevada, Chicago, Illinois, and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Everywhere Renner and his team go, they meet with local organizations and community leaders to better inform the projects they're doing. Renner's journey restoring and repairing cars began modestly. "I started in my community by building vehicles for people in need," he said. Now, though, he's decided to go further and try to help more people with the help of a bigger team.
