It’s no secret that I love building, driving, and modifying radio controlled cars. I’ve written The Drive’s buyer’s guides for RC trucks, RC cars, and even RC drift cars. I’ve reviewed a few different trucks: the 1:16 scale Bezgar HP161S basher, the 1:10 scale Laegendary Thunder basher, and the 1:10 scale Laegendary Grondo rock crawler. The RC hobby seems to fixate on trucks. When I was a kid, everything was about the buggies. Now it’s bashers and rock crawlers that dominate the space. I have a Traxxas Slash in my collection and I love the scale looks and performance. I also like that I can drive it just about anywhere. The one I own is the brushed 2WD version.
