Summer may be coming to an end, but you may still have anywhere from two months to the rest of the year to hit your local track in a new toy, depending on where in the country you live. A 2011 Cadillac CTS-V.R Coupe is looking for a new garage to call home, all for the not-so-outrageous price of $249,000.

This is chassis number three, and perhaps more importantly, one of just three ever made. This fact alone makes it an incredibly rare race car, especially since it’s being sold as a complete package rather than just a rolling chassis, as is typically the case with more retired, big-name racers.

The Cadillac CTS-V.R Coupe was developed in just eight months by General Motors and Pratt & Miller to go racing in the Pirelli World Challenge GT Championship, where it quickly became one of the series’ best-looking and best-performing race cars. Johnny O’Connell and Andy Pilgrim won three consecutive drivers’ championships (2012, 2013, and 2014) and two manufacturers’ championships in 2012 and 2013.

Per the listing: “The car offered here is Pratt & Miller Chassis #3, driven by Jordan Taylor during select World Challenge appearances, including the 2012 and 2013 Mid-Ohio rounds. Taylor earned a podium finish in the car during its competition career, further cementing its place in Cadillac racing history. Chassis #3 remains the only example actively campaigned in recent years and represents a unique opportunity to acquire one of the most significant American GT race cars of the modern era.”
