# Watch A Live Stream Of Fernando Alonso’s First Indy 500 Test Session

In the modern day of racing, many drivers are becoming more and more comfortable racing in multiple series. Keeping up with the trend, [Fernando Alonso](<https://www.thedrive.com/accelerator/9231/fernando-alonso-to-race-in-2017-indy-500>) will be participating in the Indy 500 on May 28th and [broadcasting a live stream](<https://www.indycar.com/News/2017/05/05-02-Alonso-test-live-show>) of his practice runs at 9:30am today.

Alonso's practice session will be commentated by 1969 Indy 500 winner and 1978 F1 Champion [Mario Andretti](<https://www.thedrive.com/article/195/mario-andretti-and-the-brutal-magic-of-monza>). Andretti will be joined by NBC Sports Network's Verizon [Indycar Series](<https://www.thedrive.com/accelerator/9799/huge-wreck-takes-out-five-cars-at-indycar-phoenix-grand-prix>) commenters Robin Miller and Kevin Lee. Although [Alonso](<https://www.thedrive.com/accelerator/8727/mclaren-honda-formula-one-team-hopes-fernando-alonso-wont-quit>) has extensive F1 experience, this will be his debut into the IndyCar Series and possibly a very entertaining video.

Alonso will not be participating in the Monaco Grand Prix so he can focus on the Indianapolis 500, which will take place on Sunday, May 28th. Alonso will be racing in a [Dallara-Honda](<https://www.indycar.com/Fan-Info/INDYCAR-101/The-Car-Dallara/IndyCar-Series-Chassis-Specifications>) for Andretti Autosports and McLaren.
