The need for speed never goes away, even if you're 85 years old, apparently. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office recently pulled over the driver of a [Nissan](<https://www.thedrive.com/category/nissan-news>) [Z](<https://www.thedrive.com/news/nissan-zs-twin-turbo-v6-is-capable-of-a-lot-more-power-nissan-boss-says>) for allegedly doing 110 mph in a 45 mph zone—but that's not all. He was also allegedly racing a [Chevy Corvette](<https://www.thedrive.com/category/chevrolet-corvette>) on the highway.

According to [*WKMG News 6,*](<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2175qm-IriA>) the driver of the Nissan denies the street-racing allegation, though he was still taken into custody and charged with "engaging in a vehicle race and dangerous excessive speeding."

“I wasn’t street racing,” Bosworth reportedly told the deputy, according to [*Fox 35 Orlando*.](<https://www.fox35orlando.com/news/elderly-florida-man-allegedly-street-racing-caught-driving-110-mph-45-mph-zone-deputies>) The officer's response: “Okay, well you might not call it street racing, you might call it highway racing, road racing. Whatever you want to call it … whatever you’re doing, we don’t condone that here in Lake County."

The Corvette driver was reportedly pulled over separately, and he was only 57 years old. He also denies the allegations of street racing, claiming that his car is too old (1998) to reach the alleged speed, but he was ultimately taken into custody. Both drivers were later released on bail.

*The Drive* purposely does not report the names of people involved in these traffic altercations, though the cited reports you may see referenced here might.
