*Th**e Evening Rush is your daily roundup of auto, gear, and lifestyle news, all in one place. Less time searching, more time driving. Motor on.*

**Automotive**

New spy shots hint at a potential [R version of the Jaguar F-Pace](<https://www.autoblog.com/2016/09/20/jaguar-f-pace-r-spy-shots/>). According to spy photographers, the test vehicle seems largely untouched, aside from some gnarly rumbling out the tailpipes. If Jaguar sticks with its usual strategy, we can expect the F-Pace R to use Jag's supercharged V8—and while we can’t confirm power numbers yet, it wouldn’t be crazy to suggest this F-Pace could have more than 500 horsepower.

Subaru lovers rejoice...maybe. It appears there is a [Subaru Tribeca replacement](<https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1027078_2018-subaru-tribeca-replacement-spy-shots>) in the works. Although spy shots of the crossover are heavily disguised, you can tell it's fairly large—think Mazda CX-9 and Ford Explorer. Sources say that the powertrain will be the Subaru 3.6L=-liter flat-six commonly found throughout the Subaru lineup.

The upcoming [Chevrolet Bolt](<https://www.thedrive.com/news/5265/the-chevy-bolt-will-start-at-29-995-after-uncle-sams-tax-credit>) will start at a very reasonable $29,995—after the federal government's $7,500 tax incentive, that is. In other words, you'll soon be able to snag an electric vehicle likely packing more range than a (base-model) Tesla Model 3 for less than $30K. Not too shabby.

**Gear**

Camping is one of the best ways to spend your time off. But waking up in a soggy sleeping bag is a mega bummer. End Sog-Bag (just made that up), and invest in a [KampRite Double TentCot](<https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000I6420U/uncrate-20?tag=drive09e6-20>). By lifting you off the ground and out of harm’s way, the TentCot ensures every morning starts out dry.

The future has arrived: You can now buy a drone strong enough to tow a surfer. The [Freefly Atla 8](<https://freeflysystems.com/alta-8>) is an octocopter that can pull you across your favorite body of water should the winds or waves go elsewhere. That said...the $17,000 price tag is a bit of a buzz kill.

**Lifestyle**

If you are looking to improve your home gym to simulate real-life lifting scenarios, grab some discounted [Rogue sandbags](<https://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-sandbags-2016-events>) ASAP. While these ones are slightly used, it's only from being awesome—they're the exact sandbags used at the CrossFit games. Plus, that pre-lifted status means they come cheap.

Firepit and fireplace season is approaching, so you better be sure you have the necessary gear. If you need a wood carrier, take a look at this one from [Ball & Buck](<https://ballandbuck.com/collections/fall2016/products/the-firewood-carrier>). Made of heavy-duty canvas and carefully double-stitched, this carrier will last you for at least 200 cords of wood. Or something like that. Whatever a long time is for a wood carrier.
