Finally, after years of poor sales and more bark than bite, the struggling [Honda CR-Z Hybrid is dead](<https://www.autonews.com/article/20160708/OEM/307079973/honda-drops-compact-cr-z-hybrid>). This slow-selling, slow-moving vehicle will not be missed by many.

[California is slamming VW with $86 million worth of civil penalties](<https://www.autoblog.com/2016/07/08/california-vw-civil-fine-emission/>) related to the emissions scandal. Ten million dollars of the penalties will go toward R&D related to catching emissions cheating programs and the other $76 million will go toward legal fees acquired by California during the scandal.

Jaguar Land Rover has already sold a whopping 291,556 units. That is a 64% increase for Jaguar and a 14% increase for Land Rover.
