Ford has released footage of its [Police Interceptor Utility](<https://www.autoblog.com/2016/03/11/ford-police-interceptor-armored-official/>) (Explorer) stopping a wide array of armor-piercing rounds. Although the windows are still vulnerable, this is a huge step for the protection of law enforcement officers.

Mazda has hinted that it will be debuting a [Miata with a power retractable hardtop](<https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1094099_mazda-mx-5-miata-power-retractable-hard-top-tipped-for-new-york-auto-show>) during the [New York Auto Show](<https://www.autoshowny.com/>). We haven’t seen any images, but we've got a sneaky feeling it'll look just fine.

Mercedes-AMG is showing off the [2017 E43 AMG](<https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1102800_2017-mercedes-amg-e43-revealed-ahead-of-ny-show>) ahead of the New York Auto Show. The handsome sedan packs 396 horsepower and will get to 60mph in a cool 4.5 seconds.
