# The Dash Cams I Tested and Trust My Car to Are Silly Cheap This Prime Day

I always have a dash cam in my car now. Usually, it's because I'm reviewing the latest and greatest, but now I realize it's just such an easy way to have evidence in case of an accident. There are a ton of great [Prime Day deals](<https://www.amazon.com/primebigdealdays/?tag=drive09e6-20>) on dash cams right now, even some of my favorite models are at their lowest prices of the year. So, cheap insurance is even cheaper right now thanks to Amazon.

You can check out my review of the [Viofo A229 Pro 3-channel](<https://www.thedrive.com/guides-and-gear/viofo-a229-pro-dash-cam-hands-on-review-video>) I reviewed in May. It was just under $400 when I reviewed it then, and that seemed like a decent deal. This is one of the few dash cams that will not only document accidents but help prevent them as well.
