The Outlierman is a relative newcomer to the automobilia scene, but is already making a mark. Based in Bologna, Italy, the company trades exclusively in vintage car inspired goods, from leather driving gloves to cheeky bowties. All handmade, all top quality. The firm’s latest is a line of luggage, aptly dubbed Globetrotter, designed to complement—and travel with—classic sports cars.
This road-trip-ready collection has three pieces in total: a weekend duffle, a small travel case, and a rolling trolley bag. Each is hewn from full-grain calfskin, lined inside with a unique automotive pattern done up in 100 percent Fuji silk. Each also wears a classic car color combination, from Ferrari yellow over black to British Racing Green on tan.
These are fine pieces. They’re functional, too. Take the weekender, which hides a garment case inside; it zips out to become a small travel wardrobe for hanging suits and shirts using a pair of detachable hangers.
The Outlierman luggage line is small-batch, and made by a European fashion house, so it doesn’t come cheap. But, for a certain subset of enthusiasts, the image-conscious gentleman racer crowd, the aesthetic is just right. Check out the goods here.
