Hey guys, it’s Christina Thompson and this is Drive Wire for Wednesday, December 2nd.

The new 911 Turbo and Turbo S are coming and boy are they going to pack a punch. With 540 and 580 horsepower respectively, the Turbo will blast to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and the Turbo S will do it in 2.8 seconds. Thanks to the increase in horsepower and improved suspension options the Turbo will push the needle to 198 mph while the Turbo S tops out at 205 mph. Unfortunately, these rear-engine monsters will cost you a pretty penny, the Turbo will start at $160,000 and the Turbo S will start at $189,000.

Once again Subaru is dominating. The company announced that it has already broken its all-time annual American sales record this year with a month left in the calendar. That’s 8 straight years of growth for the automaker, which reports that crossovers drove sales with the Forester, Crosstrek, and Outback combining to sell more than 350,000 units. Slow clap for Subaru as they are clearly thriving in a time where some automakers are flailing.

We previously reported that Fiat was making a new 124 Spider based on the Mazda Miata. Now Fiat says there may be an Abarth version, meaning a higher-performance model, that could actually have the engine from the Alfa Romeo 4c. That would mean a Miata platform car would have over 200 horsepower for the first time, and make sounds only Roman gods could replicate. Let’s absolutely hope Fiat does this.

Although the fishing season is over, the hunt for great gear never stops. The Deeper Portable Fish Finder is a SONAR device that connects to your phone to show you where the fish are, so you can be up there on the next bass pro shop promo. With the ability to track bottom depth and contour, water temperature, and several other goodies, even the most novice fishermen can find their white whale. Get yours now at buydeeper.com.

In today’s ridiculous video. Watch as off-road racer Bryce Menzies tests the shocks on his Ford Raptor by ripping up the Mint 400 course outside of Vegas with lunatic speed and ferocity. Menzies gives his shocks a grade-a stress test that only he can dish out as he tears through the Nevada desert. Time to put a long travel suspension on your old ranger and get cracking.
