Today in design, we take a look at the incredibly advanced autonomous parking garage beneath a luxury Philadelphia Condo. 1706 Rittenhouse square is all about maintaining a clean look so developers decided an underground parking garage would suit the building perfectly. With the help of German garage company Vor, the Rittenhouse uses a 64-car, fully autonomous garage. Situated five stories underground, the garage uses an intricate elevator system. To house each vehicle. A transponder is placed in each, allowing drivers to easily call-up their car at the swipe of a key card. Since many condo units cost nearly $4 million, residents might as well tack on another $140,000 for one of these futuristic parking spots.
