# Royal Automobile Club Show Is Speed on Canvas

When a fast car is captured by an artist, it’s usually at 1,000 frames per second. We’re habituated to recognizing [speed on film](<https://www.thedrive.com/accelerator/644/the-hidden-greatness-of-austins-formula-1-grand-prix>); rarely are we asked to acknowledge it on a canvas.

All of which makes the Royal Automobile Club’s *[Art of Motoring](<https://www.royalautomobileclub.co.uk/motoring-news/442845>)* exhibition, on view now through Oct. 31 in London, a crash course of the most edifying kind. Have a click through some of the show’s highlights here.
