If you’re searching for a car warranty or an extended warranty you can trust to provide you with excellent value and fantastic customer service, it’s well worth looking into Toco. Toco, or Toco Warranty Corporation, provides extended car warranty services for drivers. With a different approach to vehicle service contracts than most warranty companies, Toco is revolutionizing the way in which you protect your vehicle.

Based in West Hills California, Toco Warranty is backed by AmTrust Financial Services. The company was first founded in 2013, making it a relative newcomer in the warranty world. However, Toco is already changing the game and is rapidly becoming a favorite among customers everywhere.

Why is Toco Warranty so unique within the extended warranty market? Well, Toco offers two important perks: excellent customer service and affordable plans. With an A+ rating from the BBB, Toco knows how to deliver when customers need their warranty coverage most. And Toco’s unique payment structure allows anyone to secure a vehicle service contract with affordable monthly payments — no down payment required.

Could you benefit from a Toco Warranty plan? Here’s what Toco Warranty offers and whether you might be able to benefit from one of the company’s coverage plans.

Toco Warranty Overview

When you’re ready to choose a vehicle service contract or extended car warranty from Toco Warranty, the process — and all of the available plans — are simple and straightforward. Each Toco Warranty plan simplifies the process of getting extended coverage and makes that coverage suit any budget with affordable monthly payments.

Toco Warranty operates on the central idea that an extended warranty should be affordable for anyone. No matter which coverage plans or warranty you choose, Toco charges a low monthly fee. There’s no down payment, and you don’t have to pay high fees to keep your vehicle covered under warranty.

There are four different coverage plants to choose from with Toco. The plans are organized based on mileage and vehicle age, and you can easily find the perfect match for your car. The plans include:

  • Orange: As the most comprehensive extended warranty offered by Toco, this level of coverage is available for vehicles with fewer than 60,000 miles or under 5 years old. There are very few exclusions at this level of coverage; only small issues, like glass breakage and paint damage, aren’t covered.
  • Yellow: Toco’s yellow coverage level is a perfect fit for vehicles with less than 100,000 miles or an age of 10 years or less. You (and your car) will be covered for critical components and systems, including the transmissions, engine, drive axle, and supercharger. You can also choose to add on optional high tech coverage.
  • Green: This warranty coverage level is also available for vehicles with less than 100,000 miles or an age of 10 years or less. It’s less comprehensive than the Yellow plan, but it does cover a vehicle’s engine, transmission, electrical components, drive axle, and steering system. Exclusions include the air conditioning, brakes, audio, fuel system, and cooling system.
  • Blue: Designed for vehicles with less than 175,000 miles or under 20 years old, the Blue plan is Toco’s most limited. It covers the basic components or systems of your vehicle, like the engine and transmission. However, all other coverage is quite limited.

Most U.S. residents can easily apply for and secure one of these coverage options. Unfortunately, Toco Warranty plans are not currently available in Alaska, Missouri, and Washington.

No matter which level of warranty coverage you choose, every Toco Warranty plan comes with additional perks. All plans include 24-hour roadside assistance, towing to the nearest repair shop, and benefits and discounts on hotel stays and rental cars. You’ll also enjoy trip interruption coverage, which compensates you in the event you’re inconvenienced while out on the road.

Need to have repairs performed? Toco offers a network of approved repair facilities across the U.S., meaning you have quite a few options when you’re choosing where to bring your car. The claims process is simple, and there’s little paperwork involved on the customer’s end.

And should you not be satisfied with the service or vehicle protection coverage offered by Toco, you can cancel your plan at any time. These warranty plans are also fully transferable.

Toco Warranty Costs

The cost of your extended warranty will depend on a number of different factors. Details like the age and condition of your vehicle, its mileage, and the exact benefits you choose can all increase or decrease your final costs.

Each Toco warranty comes with a different cost, so make sure to get a quote to determine what, exactly, your coverage could cost. You can get a quote from Toco online or over the phone.

No matter which extended warranty coverage plan you choose, Toco offers affordable monthly payments to all customers. There’s no down payment, so you have no big financial commitment to make when you sign up for a vehicle service plan. Instead, you’ll pay as you go, getting more flexibility and a low monthly price.

Things We Like About the Toco Warranty

One of the biggest benefits of choosing a Toco extended car warranty is the customer service and support. Highly rated by both customers and industry experts, Toco will keep you happy even when you’re dealing with stressful vehicle problems and repairs. The company’s great reputation demonstrates just why customers stick with its plans and coverage.

Additionally, Toco is more affordable and flexible than its competitors. Instead of forking over a significant down payment and paying out of pocket for repairs up front, Toco Warranty sets an affordable monthly payment amount for each customer and their chosen coverage. You then pay as you go. And when it’s time for a repair, Toco pays the service provider directly, making it easier and less costly for customers.

Another perk of Toco’s coverage and plans is the wealth of options available. With four different coverage levels each suited to different vehicle ages and mileage, it’s easy to find a good fit for your vehicle whether it’s old or new. Even cars over 20 years old can get coverage, which is greatly beneficial for those who may not be able to find coverage elsewhere.

Feeling Overwhelmed?

Things We Don't Like About the Toco Warranty

There are a few disadvantages and drawbacks to Toco’s warranty plans. First and foremost, not everyone is eligible for a vehicle service contract through Toco. Residents of Alaska, Missouri, and Washington aren’t able to use the warranties. Additionally, drivers in California cannot sign up for an extended warranty — instead, they can only get mechanical breakdown insurance from Toco. While this is similar, it’s a form of insurance rather than a warranty.

Additionally, should you decide you want to cancel your coverage and plan, Toco may not actually provide you with a full refund. You must cancel within the first 60 days of coverage in order to get a full refund. Wait even one day longer and you’ll be charged a $50 administration fee just for canceling your contract.

Lastly, there are exclusions to each Toco warranty. While some plans are quite comprehensive, no Toco coverage option covers normal wear and tear. Damage caused by natural disasters or events also isn’t covered. And if repairs are needed because of mishandling or neglect (like failing to perform regular maintenance), the work won’t be eligible for coverage.

FAQs

Q. Are seals and gaskets covered under the Toco warranty?

No, normal wear and tear or leakage of seals and gaskets will not be covered. Toco will only pay for the repair or replacement of seals and gaskets if they’re involved in another, covered repair; otherwise, any issues are simply considered normal wear.

Q. Does my warranty provide rental car benefits?

Yes, the Toco warranty provides you with rental car benefits. Every level of Toco warranty coverage includes financial assistance if you need to rent a car — you’ll get $35 towards a rental car for every four hours of labor required. You can receive up to $175 in total for each repair.

Q. Is the warranty transferable?

Yes, the warranty is fully transferable should you decide to sell your vehicle. All coverage levels and plan options available through Toco are transferable, so make sure to let the new owner know about this extra perk if you’re selling.

With a reasonable, flexible monthly payment program, Toco also makes it easy to afford your costs without requiring any significant investment up front. You can pay as you go, giving you the freedom and control in your coverage.

When it comes to putting your coverage to use, Toco also offers a smooth and simple repair process.
