Cy is The Drive’s Social Media Manager, overseeing operations on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and more. As an enthusiast, he parses through every story on the site, deciding where each one belongs.
In addition to curating The Drive’s social media feeds, Cy can be found doing everything from writing car reviews at his desk to capturing new car reveals in the field, or engaging with followers on Instagram.
Based in San Diego, he splits his time between skateboarding and working on his two Nissans: a 1992 Nissan 240SX and a 1975 Datsun 280Z.
Experience
Cy's journey with cars began with a camera in high school. As his skateboarding friends shifted from skateboards to cars, its as if he went from filming kickflips to shooting 240SXs overnight. His passion for the hobby quickly grew into a goal to turn it into a career.
With a background in content creation and a college degree in Cinema, Cy launched his professional career in social media at Hypebeast, where he started writing about cars. Driven to take his craft to the next level, he joined MotorTrend, where he split his time between covering industry news and capturing drag racing events across the country for HOT ROD Magazine.
