According to Audi, the 2018 Audi TT RS will be the most powerful TT ever produced. Powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder producing 400 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque.  Unfortunately, Audi has yet to announce the weight of the 2018 TT RS, but we do know it will rocket to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds.

Thanks to the engine’s aluminum construction, the 2.5-liter TFSI engine is a whopping 57 pounds lighter than the outgoing engine. In order to provide the race-inspired performance found among the RS line, the 2018 Audi TT RS will utilize full-time Quattro all-wheel-drive but have the capability of directing nearly 100 percent of the torque to the rear wheels when desired.

Between the BorgWarner turbocharger (operating at 19.6 PSI), seven-speed S Tronic dual clutch transmission, RS Magnetic Ride, and much more, the 2018 TT RS appears to be a track-ready rocket—at least, on paper. That being said, Audi has also given the necessary attention to stopping capabilities with eight-piston monobloc brake calipers and 370-millimeter cross-drilled and ventilated discs up front. Plus, if owners want to splurge a little more money and shed a few pounds, they can opt for carbon-ceramic brakes.

The 2018 Audi TT RS will debut at the 2017 New York International Auto Show and is expected to go on sale soon thereafter. The MSRP is $64,900.
